Futures Trading & Online Casino Gambling

The gambling phenomenon known as futures trading is considering a venture into the online casino gambling world. Largely due to the futures trading company, Irish Intrade, which is now boasting over 40,000 members, this type of gambling may need a little more kick than just world events.

The way futures trading works is that bets are made on the likelihood of major climactic, social or other world events. For instance, the big bet currently is whether George W. Bush or John Kerry will win the presidential election in America. Another bet is whether Florida will be hit by another hurricane from the west in the month of October.

Sure, this type of betting is different than online gambling, primarily due to the lack of strategy which can be employed – But it makes betting much easier and produces some big winners. Many of the ‘psychic gamblers’ and ‘casino prophets’ can be found playing futures trading, and now may be seen more often in the online casino, thanks to Irish Intrade. (I don't think the online casinos will object) It seems the company could not let the multi-billion dollar industry of online casino gambling go on without getting its fair share. The move makes sense, considering that gambling, whether in an online casino or a prediction circle is putting money on the line.  Risk is risk, no matter where its at. 

Besides, for those futures traders who have abstained from online casino gambling in the past (which I doubt is not many), maybe now they will be exposed more to certain gambling games like blackjack, which will always give better odds than any world event.
