Online Gambling Investors Taken to Court
BingoWorkz, a Costa Rican based online casino, has made
legal infringement charges on a handful of Canadian companies
and investors. The charges, which range from intimidation to
illegal economic pressuring tactics, were filed with Canada’s
court of law – and have now been taken to court. Meanwhile,
the online casino remains in operation amidst the outward
turmoil and suspense.
The details of a merger within the online casino have not
been divulged; However, it remains apparent that the
beginnings of a takeover were being strongly felt by
BingoWorkz casino management.
Part of the allegations against the Toronto investors
include an illegal laying off of original BingoWorkz online
casino employees. Surprisingly, the operating functions fo the
casino are still running smoothly. Members of the online
gambling community do not seem to be turned off by the events
outside of the online casino, for the gambling action remains
intense and active.
As for the court battle itself, both sides have done well
to keep the drama under the radar for now. At this point in
the game, members of BingoWorkz online casino should be on the
lookout, for the courtroom battle could get ugly and carry
over into the casino. Although these type of events rarely
have an impact inside an online casino (Ugly takeovers are
common, though), the casino is at a risk nonetheless. And the
casino members should be keeping themselves abreast of changes
at all times, for if there is a fallout and/or standstill,
players payouts may come to a standstill as well.
