Palms Hotel Resort Meet Palms Place Condominium

Palms Hotel Casino Resort in Las Vegas was planning to add more suites to its hotel in the coming year. But now, it looks like plans have changed. Due to a large demand for downtown residences in 2004, many casino resort owners and developers are making moves to capitalize on this profitable venture.

Palms is the newest hotel drawing up plans to begin construction next year on a 599 unit condominium tower located on property directly behind the Palms Casino Resort. Called Palms Place, the condominium will be entirely sanctioned from the hotel, and will include a private entrance, valet parking and a 50,000 square foot pool. It will also feature a screening room and recording studio for professionals in the entertainment industry. What seems to be a casino resort, will actually exist as a condominium, permitting individual owners to rent out their condos on a nightly basis to visitors. The move sounds like a smart compromise between the demand for Las Vegas residences and the Palms need for more rooms at their own hotel resort.

In addition to the main condo tower, Palms owner, George Maloof, plans to build an adjacent, smaller tower next to Palms Place. This smaller version will be a condo/hotel with 347 rooms, soundproof party suites, and 46 penthouses decked out with all the amenities of a glamorous resort. The condo additions will give The Palace a total of 1,360 rooms on its combined properties, and cost approximately $600 million to complete.
