World Poker Exchange to Host London Open

In what looks to be a marketing move to make the casino poker room website of The World Poker Exchange one of the biggest contenders in online poker gambling, Worldpx declared that it will be hosting The London Open poker tournament in August of this year.

The tournament, which is to be televised by the U.K. men’s lifestyle channel, Bravo, will air from August 3 through 6, and promises to be the first of its kind – a poker tournament that will cater to a particular kind of lifestyle, which no doubt Bravo thinks is associated with men who play poker. The tournament will also hold events and gatherings at the end of each day, also emphasizing the theme of the tournament.

The broadcast will also feature a special documentary following the different roads each competing poker player took while one the circuit, and who are now competing in the tournament for the $2 million plus prize pool. The event will be taped and aired in the format of a primetime show, and broadcast to over three-million households.

This exposure is what The World Poker Exchange hopes to use in promoting its online gambling and casino poker room. Just how exciting this new lifestyle poker tournament turns out to be, will be largely responsible on the host itself.
