Underage
Online Gambling Prevention Measures Taken
The newest campaign for eCOGRA is the prevention of
underage gambling, which several governments, including Great
Britain, have announced to be a growing problem. In order to
expand their coverage, eCOGRA is partnering with the Global
Gambling Guidance Group (G4). The move is intended to develop
more comprehensive guidelines that would specifically prevent
underage gambling, and require casinos to comply on a steady
basis.
Call them revisions if you will, but eCOGRA is planning to
make the new rules a part of their Generally Accepted
Practices, which any online casino seeking the groups approval
must comply with. In addition, all eCOGRA approved online
gambling sites will be audited on a consistent basis by third
parties to insure continued compliance.
G4 has done well for themselves, developing excellent fair
practice standards at many large online casino poker sites,
including pokerroom.com. And considering the non-profit status
of the England based eCOGRA, some collaboration between two
giant online casino regulators is great news for online
gamblers. Additionally, G4 has announced that it is partnering
with the Interactive Gaming Council and an extensive network
of highly successful online poker establishments, further
strengthening its presence in the online casino community.
In the meantime, look for new requisites soon that will not
just increase the safeguards for underage online gambling, but
will keep casino gambling software fair and random, and many
an online casino running reputable website establishments.
