Internet Gambling Attracts Fraternal Crowd
If you are reading this online, you probably know how big
internet casino gambling has become. Yet, you may be surprised
how big it has become specifically with college students. In
an impromptu study done at John Hopkins University, college
students around the world are making up a large sector of the
online betting community.
This may be surprising to many, considering that the
college age demographic is historically known as a low-income
group. However, the fact is that many are winning playing at
online casinos, especially at the game of online poker. This
makes sense if you can imagine the dormitory days of
fraternity guys drinking beer and playing poker every night of
the week.
According to students at John Hopkins University, about 30%
of the student population partakes in online casino poker –
the majority of which are males. And it seems that many of
them are winning, accounting for the continual and increase
gambling of this demographic. The university has not commented
on the issue as of yet, but many expect that it will,
considering the stance that the American government is taking
regarding internet betting.
