Money Security for U.S.
Gamblers
Many online gamblers, especially those in
the United States, are concerned about the reliability of
transferring money to and receiving payment from internet
casino sites. Since the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement
Act was passed in 2006 there has been a considerable decline
of U.S. gamblers as well as companies to handle payment
transactions.
Some well known companies left the market altogether,
affecting many investors and many pocketbooks. Some of these
companies include Neteller, ePassporte and CLICK2PAY. Credit
card companies have also taken measures to prevent online
gambling payments.
This leaves American gamblers in a tight spot, with few
options and fewer security guarantees. Some online casinos
won’t even allow U.S. gamblers to join. There are just too
many risks and difficulties. As a result, the percentage of
U.S. online poker players has dropped 28% over the last three
years.
