Online Casinos have had so much influence over society that now universities like Nottingham Trent University are offering degrees like cyberpsychology. Cyberpsychology essentially is the study of online gambling. This is a postgraduate program beginning in the fall.

The degree is designed to enable people to study the many facets of online casinos and online gambling. Cyberpsychology will also include related topics like the social effects of online gambling, health risks, cyber crime and artificial intelligence.

The woman in charge of the program, Dr. Monica Whitty, said, “As well as being academically challenging, with the possibility of students going on to do a PhD, the course has been designed with the needs of industry firmly in mind,"

The need of having this degree indicates the extent of influence that online casinos have had on the world today. As this course is related to psychology, it will of course help students delve into and study the minds of online casino gamers.
